Securing your account
By default, every Opencash account is required to
Face ID
If your device is equipped with Face ID technology, you will be prompted to activate it during the login process. Face ID could be utilized as an alternate method for logging into your Opencash account. You can enable or disable Face ID at any time by going to Account > Security Settings.
Touch ID (Fingerprint Biometrics)
If your device is equipped with Touch ID (Fingerprint Biometrics) technology, you will be promoted to activate it during the login process. Touch ID could be utilized as an alternate method for logging into your Opencash account. You can enable or disable Touch ID at any time by going to Account > Security Settings.
Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) using Google Authenticator
Add an extra layer of security to your account by enabling 2FA. To enable 2FA, go to Account > Security Settings.
To enable 2FA, you will be required to download Google Authenticator. You will be provided with an Authentication Secret inside the Opencash app. Enter the secret into your Google Authenticator app to obtain the 2FA code. Enter the 2FA code into the Opencash app to enable 2FA.
Note: If 2FA is enabled, you will be required to enter your verification codes before conducting the following procedures:
- Logins
- Withdrawals
- Changes to security settings
- Updating your email
- Updating your password
